The Electrochemical Engineering (EE) is the science focused on the conception, design/building and optimization of electrochemical “tools, devices and processes”. The EE intervens, often coupled to disciplines such as chemistry, biology and physics, in the main current societal issues (energy conversion and storage, pollution abatement, corrosion, surface treatment and functionalization, fine chemicals production,…).

 

The 13th European Symposium on Electrochemical Engineering (13thESEE2023) aims to:

1. Welcome numerous academics including:

     * PhD students, post docs and young scientists, whose talks on new fields should excite the interest and the scientific flame of the participants,

    * Research seniors, for their propective analysis of future challenges, as well as a broad look at the discipline.

2. Attract the interest of industrials, in order to expose and discuss their problematics and expectations. To that end specific discussions/ sessions from industrial researchers could be envisaged and scheduled during the symposium.

 

The driving forces expected to guide this symposium are:

- a high “ionic” conduction between the participants enabling high transfer of flux of knowledge,

- a great catalytic activity allowing the promotion of collaborations and the networking in the field of electrochemical engineering and applied electrochemistry, of course in connection with other disciplines and related technologies.

 

The following topics, presented in detail in the website tab 'scientific topics', will be addressed:

- new/futuristic approaches of electrochemical engineering (any field).

- reduced scale and 3-D electrochemical Engineering,

- conversion and storage of energy,

- electro-syntheses/Electro-remediation / Electro-separations/deposition, electrochemical machining,

 - design, modelling/simulation and optimization of electrochemical devices,

- new challenges for electrochemical reactors and peripherals,

- corrosion(s) engineering,
